I know this isn't the best picture to show off, but I think it shows just a glimpse of how much power this camera has!

Never Give Up. Never Back Down. Never Lose Faith!

I was looking around at some movie trailers, and found this movie slated to open September 29th. I'm not a huge Football fan, or sports fan for that mater, but thought you might enjoy the trailer. The story is about Grant Taylor who coaches the Christian high school team. Grant had not been able to get the team to win for the past 6 years; and this year he is losing his star player. He also finds out there is a small group of dad trying to fire him. Then one day he and his wife find out some more bad news. Then together they must face her infertility. By then Grant has had it, when he gets that unexpected visit with encouragement. He then changes his point of view and learns to trust God; which, in turn, gives him the courage and strength necessary to face the challenges ahead. All in all it looks like it is going to be a good movie; and I'm hoping that my city is on the list to get at least one screen to play it.

Dude, you got an EXPLODING laptop!

Today Dell officially announced a recall on several laptops! To help understand why, look to the picture to the left. It is a former Dell laptop that exploded into flames! According to Dell there was a fault in the laptop's battery. So you say "well, just to be safe I'll just pull the battery out of the my laptop." That won't help. These Batteries can just burst into flames sitting any where; it doesn't have to be plugged into the laptop or charger. The out come is a recall on several laptops, including some from the Laditude, Insperon, Precision, and XPS line up. This is not the first recall on laptops! In fact Apple, Compaq, Dell, and Hewlett-Packard have had or are having recalls on several of their laptops. It has been highly advised you check the manufacturer’s website for any recent recalls on your specific model. If you have an Apple iBook G4, Power Book G4, or Mac Book Pro you should check these webpages: iBook G4 or Power Book G4, Mac Book Pro. If you have a laptop from Compaq you should check out THIS webpage. If you have a laptop from Dell you should check out THIS webpage. If you have a laptop from Hewlett-Packard you should check out THIS webpage. There is even more concern about the fact that all these laptop batteries are made by Sony. In light of this the U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, wow that's a mouth full, has launched an investigation to make sure there are no other batteries that have this fatal fault.

To help find the webpage you need select your laptop model: (Alphabetical)

Armada
iBook
HP Compaq
Compaq Evo
Compaq Presario
Inspiron
Latitude
Mac Book Pro
Notebook
HP Pavilion
Precision
XPS

Inspiration or motivation?

We have all enjoyed Steve Jobs' and Apple's inspiration and creativity, but what drove them, or more like what drove Steve Jobs to fight for the top again? Well, just last week an E-mail, from Steve Jobs, was sent to all Apple employees to reflect on something said 9 years ago. In 1997 Steve Jobs came back to Apple in hopes of saving it (Apple at that time was in financial trouble). Shortly after Steve Jobs went back to Apple, Michael Dell, Dell's founder and chairman, was asked what he would do if he was in Steve Jobs' shoes. Michael Dell responded by saying this:
"I'd shut it down and give the money back to the shareholders."
This E-mail was triggered by the stock closing Friday, which Apple closed with a market cap of 72.13 billion, surpassing Dell's market cap of 71.97 billion. In the E-mail Steve Jobs had this to say:
"Team, it turned out that Michael Dell wasn't perfect at predicting the future. Based on today's stock market close, Apple is worth more than Dell. Stocks go up and down, and things may be different tomorrow, but I thought it was worth a moment of reflection today. Steve."

Well, if this is what motivated Steve Jobs and Apple to bring us iLife, iTunes, and the iPod, I hope it continues to motivate them! Who knows what they have up their sleeve...

What's next with Narnia?!

Well, it is about a week and a half into 2006 and the Box Office is showing some staggering statistics. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, since its public premier, grossed $530 Million. Reuters.com So, with the movie still bringing in money, what are Disney and Walden Media to do with all that money? Well, after doing some google searching, I found this: more than 5 sources saying 1 thing, a sequel. Don't believe me?! Look at these: TheHollyWoodNews.com, MonstersandCritics.com, and even a fan site, NarniaFans.com! It looks like Disney and Walden Media is teaming up again to bring us The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian! Walden CEO Cary Granat told Variety this:

"We're planning on starting production by the fourth quarter of next year."
It is unknown if he was referring to 2006 or 2007. Well, let’s hope it is 2006 and that it comes soon! Till next time, I'll just wonder off to finish book 4, of The Chronicles of Narnia; to get a "sneak peek" of the movie!
